“Spit” was from the start while I was born in 2000, Alongsided with “The Sickness” (Disturbed), so was “Infest” (Papa Roach), “White Pony” of course (Deftones), can’t forget about “L.D.50” (MuDvAyNe), “Chocolate Starfish” (Limp Bizkit), and last but not least “Hybrid Theory” (Linkin Park) the album that defined a generation. So this is my way of saying thank you so much, for raising me with these true masterpieces dedicated to the history of NuMetal.

A lot of the old-school nu metal bands stuck (in some ways at least) to the punk and hardcore roots that the first wave of nu metal had. Most of the newer bands are clearly influenced by djent and metalcore, and as a result they feel like they're trying to hard to be technical in ways that don't work with nu metal's sound aesthetic.
